Spiritual growth and development are an important part of student life at our school.

Through Bible classes, weekly chapels, team-building experiences, UP Week, and other intentional opportunities, students are encouraged to grow in their understanding of God’s Word and to develop a faith that is personal, active, and meaningful.

Weekly Chapels

Weekly chapels provide students with consistent opportunities for worship, teaching, and community. Elementary students gather each Friday for engaging worship and age-appropriate lessons designed to encourage joy and curiosity in faith. Middle and high school students meet every Wednesday for thoughtful worship and teaching rooted in Scripture. Students also have opportunities to serve and lead in chapel through worship teams, praise band, and other leadership roles.

TeamBuilding

TeamBuilding is another key component of our spiritual life program. Middle and high school students each participate in a dedicated TeamBuilding experience, traveling offsite with teachers for several days of shared activities, competition, worship, and reflection. Students are placed on teams led by seniors and engage in challenges that build leadership, friendships, and a strong sense of community. The winning team is recognized each year with their name inscribed for future classes to see—creating lasting memories and a shared tradition that strengthens the HCA community.

UpWeek

Each year, one week of the school year is set aside for UpWeek – an exciting time for our students and families. It consists of extra chapels and worship during the school day for students, service projects, more ways to partner with parents at home and one evening is set aside for a don’t miss “UpNight” event!
