Middle School
Continued Growth for Success
Horizon Christian Academy’s Middle School program is designed to prepare students academically, spiritually, and socially for success in high school and beyond. Through a strong foundation in core academics – including English language arts, math, science, and social studies – students are challenged to think critically, grow confidently, and develop a love of learning.
At Horizon, middle school is more than preparation for the next grade – it’s an experience that breaks the barriers of our four walls.
Classes Beyond the classroom, students explore their interests through rotating nine-week enrichment courses such as STEM, Visual Arts, Drama, Band, Marketing, and Physical Education. A structured end-of-day homework period helps students build essential organization and time-management skills while offering support from teachers when needed.
Spiritual Formation Faith is woven into every part of the middle school experience. Students attend daily Bible classes centered on the Old and New Testament and the life of Christ. Additionally, students attend a weekly Chapel led by the Campus Pastors, creating a Christ-centered environment where faith and learning grow together.
Extracurriculars Leadership and character development are emphasized through student council, TeamBuilding, praise band, Young Life/WyldLife’s Campaigners, and meaningful service opportunities. Students are encouraged to build healthy relationships, self-advocate, resolve conflict, and make responsible choices – all while discovering their passions and learning how to create and innovate.
